I started in construction in 1974 working for my father. He was a very experienced
carpenter and general contractor. I think everyone should work for and learn their fathers
trade even if they don't intend on making it your career choice. You not only learn
more about your father but more about yourself as well. He taught me a lot about the
construction industry and working with others. He helped me realize my strengths, my
weaknesses, and that everyone has them. He helped me to realize what I could accomplish if I
applied myself and saw it through.
I established myself here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 1981. I very seldom find the need
to advertise or use any of the bidding resources available here but I still manage to stay pretty busy.
